Terminology


  • Match – A game or a series of games played between two teams.
  • Match Game – A singular game within a match.
  • Default Win – When a team cannot play a match because of their own reasons. Thus, resulting to the tournament/league organizers allocating the win to the opposing team.
  • Forfeit – When a team chooses not to play the remaining games for whatever reason.
  • Wrong teams – When the teams of a match do not match the correct teams laid out by the tournament organizers.
  • Wrong time - When the time of a match significantly does not match the correct time laid out by the tournament organizers.
  • Duplicate match – When a match has been created twice, in which case the duplicated match shall be cancelled.
  • Schedule change – When tournament/league organizers change match schedules.
  • Item Distribution Delayed – Distribution of items placed on the match may temporarily be unavailable due to some technical reason.
  • Cancelled Match – A match that is cancelled by NXTGame management based on schedule changes and/or other factors.
  • Postponed/Paused Match – When a match is postponed due to some technical issue/reason. Items will be returned in case match does not push through.

Rules


General Rules

  1. Play at your own risk. By placing items on NXTGame, you automatically adhere to our rules and regulations.
  2. With regard to the value of your items, each value is determined by the NXTGame system based on Steam Community prices. If you don't agree with the value that is given to your items, you may choose to either place a different item or don't place items on our games at all.
  3. Users will be notified via system message every time item values are scheduled to be updated (Note: Scheduled ending dates are only estimates and actual ending dates may take longer).
  4. Please be aware that we are not liable to users affected by item price updates.
  5. We are not responsible for the items with name tags, description, tags, sockets or gems you have placed. Items may not be the same that is returned to you.
  6. If your potential reward value is very low, there is a chance that you may not win anything, besides your initial items.
  7. Users can only place standard DOTA 2 and CS:GO cosmetic items on games regardless of rarity.
  8. Odds for DOTA 2 items can differ from odds for CS:GO items since they are considered two different currencies.
  9. Users can place a minimum of 1 item, with a maximum of 8 items regardless of rarity as long as our system accepts them.
  10. Users can switch teams not less than 5 minutes before the designated time of the match.
  11. Placing of items closes 5 minutes before the designated time of the match.
  12. Placing of items and switching of teams may close earlier than 5 minutes before the scheduled time if the actual match has already started.
  13. If player/s are accused of any form of cheating and there is no announcement from the organization regarding whether or not the match will be forfeited, the game will push through and your items will remain placed. This announcement would have to be made while the match is still live and not once the match has already been finished.
  14. By placing your items to play games on NXTGame, we automatically assume that you have done the necessary research on matches before placing your items. This includes everything from: match format to team name changes and league details. In the case NXTGame shows wrong match format, league name, or teams have changed names due to sponsor changes - the game will push through and your items will remain placed.
  15. In general, except in special cases, matches should only be cancelled if a duplicate match is created, at least one of the teams is incorrect, a default win or forfeiture of some sort has occurred, a significant time disparity between our schedule and the actual schedule, the tournament organizer cancelled the match, and if a match is postponed for more than 12 hours.

eSports

  1. If the match format is BO2 and the result is: 1-1, all items are returned to their owners.
  2. If a match is delayed, it will push through as long as it is not cancelled or delay is not more than 12 hours.
  3. Items placed on games cannot be cancelled once they have been accepted by our system.
  4. If there is a team change after users have placed items, match will be closed and all items will be returned to their owners.
  5. If a match has been postponed for 12 hours or less, the match will continue. The items placed on the match may be locked until the match has been resulted.
  6. If an upcoming match is postponed for more than 12 hours, that match will be closed and placed items will be returned.
  7. If at least one match game is played and the remaining match game/s in a Best of 2, 3, 5 or 7 series are postponed because of connection or any other issues, the match still will push through until the series is completed, however if the games are postponed for more than 48 hours from the initial start date, we will close the match and return the items.
  8. If the first game of a match is won by default win/forfeit the match will be closed and all items will be returned.
  9. If a team in a match cannot play, match will be closed and all items will be returned.
  10. But if a team forfeits the match:
    • In a Best of 2 / Best of 3, if at least 1 match game is played and won by *team A* and *team B* forfeits the remaining match games, match will still push through and the team that won 1 match game will be declared the winner.
    • In a Best of 5, if at least 2 match games are played and won by *team A*, and *team B* forfeits the remaining match games, match will still push through and the team that won 2 match games will be declared the winner.
  11. If there is an official cancellation of the match by tournament/league organizers, all items will be returned.
  12. If a team wins by default, all items will be returned. However, if the team forfeits after a first blood (Dota 2 and LoL) or after the first round (CS:GO) within the match, game/match will still push through and the team who forfeited will be declared the winner.
  13. If a team forfeited game 1 but the tournament organizer failed to disclose it immediately, all resulted sidebets before the disclosure will not be reversed and items won by winners will not be returned. That being said, all sidebets and main match not yet resulted after the disclosure shall be cancelled.
  14. Matches not streamed online publicly may be cancelled if NXTGame cannot find a reliable source regarding its results.
  15. If any changes in team roster occurs, the match will still push through.
  16. For CS:GO sidematches, First Round Win refers to the team who won the first pistol round (1st round), Sixteenth Round Win refers to the team who won the second pistol round (16th round, NOT who scores 16 first), and First To Win Five Rounds refers to the team who scores 5 rounds first (NOT who wins on the 5th round).
  17. Matches With Handicaps will follow Final Series Score of the Match with the corresponding Handicap designated to it.
    • ie. In a Best of 2 series Match, Team A has a handicap of (- 0.5). Team A has to win all 2 match games in the series to win the match, while Team B only has to win 1 match game in the series to win the match.
    • ie. In a Best of 3 series Match, Team A has a handicap of (- 1.5). Team A has to win with a series lead of 2-0 to win the match, while Team B only has to win 1 match game in the series to win the match.
    • ie. In a Best of 5 series Match, Team A has a handicap of (- 1.5). Team A has to win with a series lead of 3-0 or 3-1 to win the match, while Team B only has to win at least 2 match games in the series to win the match.
    • ie. In a Best of 5 series Match, Team A has a handicap of (- 2.5). Team A has to win with a series lead of 3-0 to win the match, while Team B only has to win at least 1 match game in the series to win the match.
    • ie. In a best of 7 series Match, Team A has a handicap of (- 1.5). Team A has to win with a series lead of 4-0, 4-1 or 4-2 to win the match, while Team B only has to win at least 3 match games in the series to win the match.
    • ie. In a best of 7 series Match, Team A has a handicap of (- 2.5). Team A has to win with a series lead of 4-0 or 4-1 to win the match, while Team B only has to win at least 2 match games in the series to win the match.

Soccer

  1. All Soccer matches may be featured with or without Handicaps.
  2. All Soccer Matches that are offered will be resulted ONLY by Normal Time of 90 minutes including injury time (FT).
    • Goals scored in Extra Time (ET) or Penalty Kicks (PK) will NOT count in the resulting of the Matches With or Without handicaps and with the Over/Under Sidematch.
  3. Matches Without Handicaps will follow the Final Score of the Match.
  4. Matches With Handicaps will follow Final Score of the Match with the corresponding Handicap designated to it.
    • ie. Team A has a handicap of (-1.5) Team A has to Win with at least 2 Goals, otherwise Team B wins.
    • ie. Team A has a handicap of (-1) Team A has to win with at least 2 Goals, otherwise Team B wins. If Team A wins with ONLY 1 Goal, then the Result would be a Draw and all placed items will be returned.
  5. Soccer Matches may have a sidematch of Over/Under. Over/Under sidematch counts the COMBINED Goals of Both Teams.
    • ie. Over/Under of (3.5). If The combined Score of both Teams is 4, then OVER wins, if the combined Score is only 3 then Under wins.
    • ie. Over/Under of (3). If the combined score of both Teams are EQUAL to 3 then the Match would be resulted to a Draw then all placed items will be returned.
  6. If a match is not played on its scheduled date, placed items will be returned.  (Postponed)
  7. If a match is suspended and did not resume on the same day, all placed items will be returned. (Postponed)
  8. If a match has been stopped for any particular reason may it be for (weather, lights, etc) and the referee ends the match BEFORE the 90 minute mark, the match will be resulted in a draw and all placed items will be returned.
  9. Odds of the match may be changed by the admin only BEFORE the game starts as there might be circumstances of injury updates and players cannot play the match.

Basketball

  1. All Basketball matches may be featured with or without Handicaps.
  2. Matches Without Handicaps will follow the Final Score of the Match.
  3. Matches With Handicaps will follow Final Score of the Match with the corresponding Handicap designated to it.
    • ie. Team A has a handicap of (-6.5) Team A has to Win with at least 7 points, otherwise Team B wins.
    • ie. Team A has a handicap of (-5) Team A has to win with at least 6 points, otherwise Team B wins. IF Team A wins with ONLY 5 points, then the Result would be a Draw and all placed items will be returned.
  4. Basketball Matches may have a sidematch of Over/Under. Over/Under sidematches count the COMBINED Points of Both Teams.
    • ie. Over/Under of (195.5). If The combined Score of both Teams is 197, then OVER wins, if the combined Score is only 193 then Under wins.
    • ie. Over/Under of (190). If the combined score of both Teams are EQUAL to 190 then the Match would be resulted to a Draw then all placed items will be returned.
  5. If there is an Overtime, the match will be resulted according to the final score of the game which includes the overtime
  6. If a match is not played on its scheduled date, all placed items will be returned.  (Postponed)
  7. If a match is suspended and did not resume on the same day, all placed items will be returned. (Postponed)
  8. Odds of the game may be changed by the admin only BEFORE the game starts as there might be circumstances of injury updates and players cannot play the match. Regardless of Roster changes, adjustment of Odds for Handicaps and Over/Under sidematches will no longer be applied 1hr prior to the scheduled time of the match.

Mixed Martial Arts

  1. Types of bout results.
    • Submission
      • Physical Tap Out
      • Verbal Tap Out
    • Knockout
      • Bout is stopped by the referee. (TKO)
      • Bout is stopped due to a severe injury caused by a legitimate maneuver. (TKO)
      • Bout is stopped when a fighter has been rendered unconscious because of strikes and/or kicks. (KO)
    • Decision vis judges' scorecards
      • Unanimous Decision: When all 3 Judges score the contest in favor of the same fighter.
      • Split Decision: When two judges score the contest in favor of one fighter, and one judge scores in favor of the opponent.
      • Majority Decision: When two judges score the contest in favor of one fighter, and one judge scores a draw.
    • Draw
      • Unanimous Draw: When all 3 judges score the contest a draw.
      • Majority Draw: When 2 judges score the contest a draw.
      • Split Draw: When all 3 judges score the bout differently. (Example. Judge1 scores in favor of Fighter A, Judge2 scores in favor of Fighter B, Judge3 scores a draw.)
    • Disqualification
      • Fighter wins due to the deliberate application of an illegal technique or foul by his/her opponent.
      • Fighter wins when his/her opponent exceeds the allotted number of warnings for foul and/or illegal maneuvers.
    • Forfeit
      • Fighter wins the match due to the withdrawal of his/her opponent prior to the beginning of the match.
    • Technical Decision Win or Technical Draw
      • If a foul or illegal maneuver causes a fighter to be unable to continue later in the bout, it ends with a technical decision win to the injured fighter if the injured fighter is ahead on points, otherwise it is a technical draw.
    • No Contest
      • If a foul incapacitates a fighter, then the match may end in a disqualification if the foul was intentional, or a "no contest" if unintentional.
  2. Unless otherwise announced by NXTGame, A bout must happen within a week of the scheduled fight dates. If not, Matches will be closed and all placed items will be returned.
  3. If a fighter is replaced by another fighter due to injury, or other reasons, the match will be closed and all placed items will be returned. 
  4. If the decision to a bout is a Draw, the match will be closed and all placed items will be returned.
  5. If a fighter wins a bout by disqualification, the match will be closed and all placed items will be returned.
  6. If a fighter wins a bout by Forfeit, the match will be closed and all placed items will be returned.
  7. If a fighter wins a bout by Technical Decision, the match will be closed and all placed items will be returned.
  8. If the decision to a bout is a Technical Draw, the match will be closed and all placed items will be returned.
  9. If the decision to a bout is No Contest, the match will be closed and all placed will be returned.
  10. MMA matches may have a sidematch of Over/Under. Over/Under sidematch counts the total number of rounds that a match's contestants have fought for.
    • ie. In a 3-round, 5-minute bout with an Over/Under of (1.5). If the bout is finished past the 2:30 mark of the 2nd round (which is over 1.5 rounds), then OVER wins. If the bout is finished before the said mark (which is under 1.5 rounds), then UNDER wins.
    • ie. In a 5-round, 5-minute bout with an Over/Under of (2.5). If the bout is finished past the 2:30 mark of the 3rd round (which is over 2.5 rounds), then OVER wins. If the bout is finished before the said mark (which is under 2.5 rounds), then UNDER wins.
    • ie. In a 5-round, 5-minute bout with an Over/Under of (3.5). If the bout is finished exactly at the 2:30 mark of the 4th round (which is neither over nor under 3.5 rounds), then the sidematch is considered a draw and all placed items will be returned.

Users have 60 days to claim your items from returns and winnings inventory; after which unclaimed items will be kept by NXTGame and will be used to be added to winnings on future games.
