March 28, 2016 - We at NXTGame are happy to announce the return of the NXTGAME.com Dota 2 Invitational in the form of the NXTGAME.com Dota 2 EU Invitational!

This latest edition of the invitational will start on April 4, 2016 at 18:00 CEST, and will feature Elite Dota 2 teams from Europe who will be battling through a series of online matches for a chunk of the tournament prize pool and offcourse, the title, "Champions".

Any NXTGame event will not be complete without Dota 2 item betting. Fans as usual, can enhance their tournament viewing experience by using the NXTGame betting system, that gives an array of choices on how to win items, whether one has items that are ready to bet or not. From the Prediction feature where users can easily win free bettable items, to several promos and giveaways that they can easily participate in.

Match Schedules will be announced upon the confirmation of all invited teams.

Tournament RULES!


1.1. Game Version

The game version must be "Dota 2".

1.2. Lobby Settings

2. Match Rules

2.1. Starting the Game

As soon as both teams are on the same round the game must start. This means that if both teams get a default win on the first round (for not having an opponent or any other circumstances), even if the match page states a different match time hour, the match must start.

2.2. Server

The server is by default Luxembourg. This can be, however, be changed if both teams agree to do it.

2.3. Failure to appear / No Show

Each team has 15 minutes to show up to a match. (Match date +15 minutes). Showing up after 15 minutes result in a default loss. The team that is waiting must open a protest ticket or try to communicate with an NXT Admin via the NXT match chat in order to get a default win. Please keep in mind, if a team or player did show up in time, but needs to leave the lobby to sort an issue, it does not count as a no show if he's not back after match date + 15 minutes. Abuse of this exception will lead into a default loss of the match. 2.4. Game Mode

2.4.1. Best of One

Selection priority for the first game of a match is decided by a coin toss done by the match admin. The team with selection priority may either select a side or a draft order. The opposing team can choose the remaining factor.

2.4.2. Best of Three

If there is a second game, the other team (Loser of the 1st coin toss) will get selection prority. The same process is repeated with a new coin toss for game 3.

2.5. Game preparations

Please resolve any problems that might occur before a match starts. Connection or Hardware Problems during a match could lead into a disqualification by NXT admins.

  • Agreements between the teams/players need to be posted as match comments.
  • Make sure the match is played with the right lobby settings.
  • Make sure all players are eligible to play. In team games, all players must be registered in their corresponding team. The usage of a team foreign player can lead into (a) warning. (b) disqualification. (c) 2-6 penalty points (d) rematch, depending on the case. An NXT admin will take further actions if there is a standin suspicion.

2.5.1. Game Account

All players must have an updated Dota 2 Steam ID added to his NXT account. A wrong, missing or outdated Dota 2 Steam ID can lead into (a) warning. (b) 1-3 penalty points, depending on the case. A simple case of wrong, missing or outdated Dota 2 Steam ID does not lead into a disqualification or a rematch in NXT Tournaments or Ladders, but the player has to update as soon as it's known. An NXT admin will take further actions if there is a standin suspicion.

2.5.2. Choosing the game host

Any team/player can host the lobby. Please follow the "Lobby Settings" and the rules stated on the "Game mode" tab above.

2.5.3. Player Change

You are not allowed to change a player after the start of a match.

2.5.4. Standins

The use of standins on cups is allowed. All players must be registered on NXT and assigned to the team they are playing for (including standins). The use of unregistered players on a match may result on a default loss. The standins must have a registered Game Account on the website.

2.6. Ingame

2.6.1. Number of players

Number of players must be 5 for each team. A team missing a player will get a default loss.

2.6.2. Player drops

There is a total waiting time of 10 minutes per game to wait for player drops per team.

2.6.3. Pause Rule

It is forbidden to pause a game for no reason. After you pause a game you must say in all chat the reason of the pause. In the same game, the total pause time can't be longer than 10 minutes (if a team
pause the game for 3 minutes and later pause it again for 7, they can't pause anymore, unless the opponents agree with it).

  • A pause shouldn't be longer than 5 minutes. In the case a longer pause being needed, the opponent or an NXT admin has to agree it, otherwise the match continue.
  • To unpause a game is only allowed if both teams agree to it in all chat or a pause lasted longer as 10 minutes and no further agreements were made.
  • Abuse of the pause will lead to a disqualification. Screenshots of proof and the demo of the game must be uploaded into the match.

2.6.4. DDOS

If a player drop or is lagging duo to a DDOS attack, the Pause Rule and the Player Drops rule is applied here. There are no exceptions for DDOS attacks. It's the player responsibility to protect himself against DDOS attacks.

2.6.5. Rematch

If there is a technical problem that requires a rematch, contact an admin.

2.6.6. Rematch Rules

A match has to be played with the same picks (it can be created using the All Pick mode).

2.6.7. Abortion of a match

You can abort a match by typing "gg" (without the "") on the all chat.

2.7. Illegal Actions

Any actions that result in an unfair advantage are illegal. This includes bug abuse of any kind.

2.8. Spectators

Spectators inside the Lobby are forbidden (such as coach's, managers or casters). Only official NXT Casters or Admins are allowed.
